It all started with an ambush. Long before we were doing Shelly & Jonathan’s Sunny Morgan Hill Maternity Session, we were strangers. The summer after I moved home, some wonderful women from my last church decided they wanted to be my friends, and ambushed me with a super fun evening of games, chocolate and margaritas.

Fast forward a year and I had the absolute joy and privilege of being there for Jonathan’s super romantic Santa Cruz Beach Proposal turned Beach Engagement Session. I still remember that day as if it were yesterday, and we got to celebrate them even more when it came time for their Rosewood CordeValle San Martin Engagement Session.

I photographed their beautiful Outdoor Redwood Fernwood Cellars Gilroy wedding in the rain in October a few years ago, and we just love it when we get to walk each phase of life with our couples from anniversaries to engagements to weddings to BABIES!

And this Sunny Morgan Hill Maternity Session was extra special with an emotional tribute to Shelly’s wonderful father who passed away last year, but we fully believe that Grandpa already knows just how incredible little baby Higgins is going to be, and is cheering on these two with the loudest applause.

Shelly & Jonathan: we love you both so much, and we can’t imagine our lives without you. It is truly a privilege to get to photograph your Morgan Hill Maternity Session, and we pray that when this baby comes, you would still continue to put each other first. The best thing you can do for Baby H is to make sure that beautiful marriage of yours gets stronger and stronger every single day.
