an absolute dream

San Francisco is quite a special city to so many people. It’s particularly special for Michael—his dad used to commute from the East Bay into the city and would sometimes bring Michael along for the ride. Every time we pull over the hills of 280 and see the first signs of South San Francisco, Michael’s eyes light up like a little kid against the glass at a toy store. The iconic skyline with that beautiful Golden Gate Bride guarding the way in from the North is just breathtaking.

Not to mention all the incredible places deep within the city grid. From Coit Tower to the Transamerica Building, Pier 39 to the Bay Bridge, Baker Beach to the Ferry building. Everything from clouds to grass is filled with stories of adventure, love, loss, recovering, and hope. It’s the perfect backdrop for a couple in love!

We had the privilege of meeting Loren & Alex at our San Jose Bridal Fair just a few short weeks ago and quickly knew they were a perfect match! He’s originally from Seattle and she’s a Bay Area native. Their August Seattle wedding is going to be a dream, but let’s just talk about this San Francisco engagement session for a minute. I mean… DREEEEEEAM. Loren and Alex walked up to us at the Legion of Honor Museum for their San Francisco engagement session dressed for the Red Carpet (in honor of the Oscars, I suppose!). Drop dead gorgeous blue ball gown complemented by Alex’s black suit and bowtie! They absolutely belonged on TV. And with the classic columns and Greek architecture of the Legion of Honor Museum? PERFECT.

The glam doesn’t stop there. After too many—okay, let’s be honest, there’s no such thing as “too many”—shots at the Legion of Honor Museum, we took a short ten minute drive and an outfit change down to Baker Beach for that quintessential Golden Gate Bridge engagement session location. Loren & Alex even glammed it up for their second location! A stunning gold and navy beaded high low gown with Alex’s sharp blue jacket with black lapels. I just LOVE that look. So James Bond. And we rocked it with that iconic landmark as a backdrop!

Loren & Alex, we had so much fun with you! Thank you for going all out for this! It was worth it, don’t you think? We wish you all the love and joy in the world as your wedding approaches and only wish we could be there to celebrate! Seattle in August is going to just be perfect. Your San Francisco engagement session was such a joy for us. We love you both!
