Mission San Juan Bautista. It’s one of historic California mission buildings. And it’s full of love and countless years of wedding celebrations. Can you imagine saying “I do” in a place that has been preserving marriages for centuries? It must be why Lily + Ulises loved this place so much. And it was obvious everyone in the room knew what this meant. We felt so lucky to have been there for their San Juan Bautista wedding!

And one of the best surprises of all? We love when couples bring in a mariachi band for their wedding reception. And it’s definitely the best when it’s Mariachi Santa Cecilia! We’ve had the privilege of working with them on several weddings. And it’s ALWAYS a party! This San Juan Bautista wedding was no different. Even Ulises’ dad got up to sing with them. And the second they started playing everyone was on their feet.

She was coming home from running errands. And it was supposed to be a normal day, too. But when she got home and walked through the front door, everything changed. Ulises had transformed their home with romantic candlelight and photo collages. They told us at their Monterey Engagement Photos that Lily turned around to find Ulises on one knee. And she was so excited that she just shouted, “Are you serious!?” Of course she said yes!

Our couple chose to host their Catholic wedding at the historic Mission San Juan Bautista. A building with literally hundreds of years of legacy. And what a stunning place to tie the knot! Swenson & Silacci provided a beautiful wedding bouquet and wedding florist services. Our bride and her crew received incredible wedding hair and makeup services by Bella by Yadi, Elegance by Jess and Marlene Artistry. And our bride’s sweet mama created the most beautiful dessert spread by Addy’s Heavenly Cakes.

And the family love didn’t stop there! Cookies by Neftaly created photo cookies for our couple’s guests and she’s the bride’s sister. Lily found her perfect Allure Bridals dress at Miosa Bride. And Ulises wore a handsome suit from Calvin Klein. Our couple chose a lovely wedding ring set from Shane Company. And their guests were invited to the big day with an invitation suite from Zazzle. And this wedding was definitely the best with an amazing performance from our friends at Mariachi Santa Cecilia!
