Towering mountains. Unimaginable heights. Breathtaking views. It almost didn’t seem real. Too perfect, too beautiful to be a coincidence. This romantic Yosemite engagement session was unlike any other, because the gorgeous backdrop was the perfect match for this gorgeous Angela Sue couple.

Much like the majesty of Yosemite, Shane & Morgan’s love towers above all obstacles, above all mountains and valleys that they may encounter. The perspective they’re able to have gives them such a powerful impact on each other as future husband and wife, but also on the people around them. All throughout their Yosemite engagement session, Michael and I kept coming back to just how remarkable this decade-long friendship, commitment and love truly is. It felt as though we were in the presence of something incredibly real. Like we just know, these two are forever.

From woodsy, romantic strolls in the cool shade by the river to cocktails at the Majestic Yosemite Hotel, Yosemite is a wealth of gorgeous engagement photo locations. We spent most of the day taking in the views (Half Dome, El Capitan, just to name a few), but we had our hearts set on that breathtaking view from Taft Point for sunset photos. Just as we were settling in for the one-mile hike out to the drop-off, we encountered two young brown bears just passing through the trail. It was enough to stop us and turn us around, especially since it was late in the day. While we didn’t get out to the actual location, there really wasn’t a corner of Yosemite National Park that wasn’t perfect for golden hour sunset photos for this Yosemite engagement session.

Shane & Morgan: we are so blessed by you two. We’ve loved watching your story unfold—from knowing you separately, to seeing you reunite and flourish even brighter than before is just amazing. Your Yosemite engagement session was a dream come true for us, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you at your Sycamore Creek Vineyards Wedding this fall!

YOSEMITE ENGAGEMENT SESSION

To say we love Yosemite engagement sessions is an understatement. Neither of us had been before, so when Shane & Morgan told us we just had to go there, it was an easy YES! From shaded trails with towering trees, to sunny views of the river to grand indoor resting places to the desirable Glacier Point and Taft Point, there wasn’t a corner of Yosemite National Park that wasn’t perfect for these two and their Yosemite engagement session. Shane’s Yosemite proposal led to us making the drive out for their Yosemite engagement session, and it was so worth it! Shane wore a classic, handsome suit from the one and only Men’s Wearhouse, and Morgan looked just stunning in her romantic twirly dress from Lulus. And this is the second time we’ve had the privilege of photographing Shane & Morgan. You just have to see their Vasona Lake Los Gatos Anniversary Session from earlier this year!
