The rain was coming down outside the schoolhouse. Kaitlin didn’t seem to mind as she laced up her custom embroidered Converse. And it was only moments before she would see her husband to be for the first time on their Santa Cruz wedding day. Onlookers watched as this stunning bride was escorted under iridescent umbrellas to her groom. And the moment she tapped his shoulder everyone’s breath stopped. Tom giddily said, “Can I turn around!?” Before anyone could even answer him, he was already there. And you probably know what happens next…

Tom gasped and immediately hugged Kaitlin. Because these two are seriously the best of friends. And you know how we really know that? Not a single thing about their relationship was ever decided on their own. They have worked together and supported one another in every single curveball. And it shows in how they planned their Santa Cruz wedding. Just the fact that they walked each other down the aisle… have you ever seen that!? We were obsessed with how meaningful this was!

Like their wedding day, much of Kaitlin + Tom’s relationship has been a picture of teamwork. Even their engagement! So these two planned an all-out Disneyland trip with lightsabers to the nines and even a VIP tour. Kaitlin + Tom: wow! Can we just say… wow! And what a blessing it was to finally get to celebrate the two of you. With your friends and family too! Every single moment was truly precious at your Santa Cruz wedding. And the rain made it that much sweeter. We are so excited to watch your marriage unfold. And here’s to many more gatherings and future Disney trips together!

SANTA CRUZ WEDDING

Rainy weddings in Santa Cruz are a truly special experience. And even though we know rain scares some photographers, it doesn’t scare us. Especially when we get to photograph Roaring Camp weddings! The team there is kind and talented. And we had the pleasure of working along side our couple’s day-of coordinator from A Paper Flower Wedding. Little Shop of Horticulture designed stunning wedding florals that brought a spring/fall vibe to this day. And what a treat it was to work alongside wedding videographer Edward Lau Films.

Kaitlin + Tom’s wedding was officiated by wedding officiant Barbara Boyd. And our friends at Powers Beauty Artistry provided fairytale wedding hairstylist and wedding makeup artist services. These two love bundt cakes. So naturally they had Nothing Bundt Cakes provide their wedding desserts. Kaitlin found her STUNNING one-of-a-kind fairy princess wedding dress by Rara Avis at Magnolia Monterey. And Tom wore a suit from Eli Thomas Menswear.

Our bride’s beautiful engagement ring came from the one and only Tiffany Co. And they invited their closest loved ones to their Santa Cruz Wedding with invitations from Zola. Our friend DJ Scott Trugman made sure the party was hoppin with wedding DJ services. And the unique touches didn’t stop there! Kaitlin + Tom planned a beautiful hand fasting ceremony with a custom made handfasting cord from Once Upon a Wedding. And top notch bar services was provided by Raise Your Glass Bartending.
