ONE: Propose in an epic location.
And here’s what we mean by epic: a place that is impressive or remarkable. That could mean just about anything, and we believe you should choose an epic location that means something to your epic love story. Is it the cliffside in Big Sur, California? Or maybe it’s in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle in Disneyland? Is it by the Eiffel Tower in Paris? Is it in your living room with your fur babies? Any one of these locations is impressive or remarkable as one of our 5 proposal ideas because you make it so.
TWO: Incorporate a game into your proposal.
Some are really creative with how they plan their proposal. And we had a couple this year with one of the coolest proposal ideas to date. Our bride LOVES Ellen and LOVES her game Heads Up. So our groom created a custom deck for Heads Up and with their family all together for a little game night in their backyard, he proposed to her. She was reading the cards and trying to get him to guess the words, and eventually she realized what was happening!
THREE: Secretly have your proposal professionally photographed.
We may be biased, but hear us out. Having photos from someone’s iPhone is great and all, but how much more spectacular will this moment in your love story’s history be if you had professional, high end photos of a once-in-a-lifetime event? 50 years from now when you’re showing your grandchildren your old photos, they’ll be able to see the moment you got engaged in bright, bold and living color!
