The room was silent. All eyes on them. Intently listening to the groom’s father. As Sarah and Timmy held each others’ hands, Ted told the story of their long distance relationship. Miles upon miles between them yet so close, it was hardly bearable. Tears welling up not only in their eyes but our own as Ted said to them, “I’m sure you’ve memorized those highways between Fresno and Bakersfield, and those trips alone have come to an end.”
Sarah and Timmy’s beautiful summer Modesto church wedding was not just the end of those long distance trips alone, but also the sweetest beginning to this next chapter together. And we were so blessed to get to be present for it!
This beautiful bride of ours is loud and proud when it comes to what she wanted for her Modesto wedding. And that’s just the way we like it. I (Angela) met Sarah when we both were students at Fresno Pacific University. And friendship with her is nothing short of endless smiles, laughter and encouragement. The last time this beautiful woman was in front of our camera was at a past Angela Sue bride’s wedding in Visalia! You have to see Sarah all dolled up for Bre & Cory’s Valhalla at the Grove wedding a few years ago. So we just love when we get to see past bridesmaids become our brides, too.
In 2012, Sarah and Timmy met working at summer camp. But this was not the first time their paths had crossed. In fact, these two were in the same Sunday school class as toddlers! Can you believe that? And it wasn’t until summer 2012, when a girl who loves purple officially met a guy with the sweetest smile. And the rest was history.
Sarah and Timmy: you two just have completely filled up our hearts more than we could have ever hoped for. A love story like yours is exactly why we do what we do, and we consider it the highest privilege to be invited to capture it. Your adventures ahead of you are so exciting, and we cannot wait to see where this journey takes you!
Love,
A&M
Our Angela Sue Bride and Groom tied the knot at their childhood church, Ceres Seventh Day Adventist Church, just outside of Modesto, where the groom and his father work as pastors. This church—girl—was absolutely stunning. And our first look photos and formal portraits were taken at a dream venue: Pageo Lavender Farm. We’re counting down the days until we get to photograph a Pageo Lavender Farm wedding! Sarah designed her own floral arrangements with luscious and beautiful florals from The Bouqs. She found the perfect gown designed by Oleg Cassini at David’s Bridal. And Timmy wore a handsome suit from Generation Tux alongside his groomsmen.
Family friend and church member, Scott Speakes, designed the most glamorous hair styles for our ladies, and Sophie Jalomo provided high end stylish wedding day makeup. The bride and groom chose the most romantic invitation suite from Minted, and had a wonderful plant-based meal for their family prepared by Willie Huerta. And if we couldn’t last a wedding day without the perfect wedding cake designed by Sunrise Bakery.
