Teresa’s grandmother took the microphone. She made her way to the middle of the room. 3 or 4 pieces of paper in her hands. She had a lot to say about the woman named after her, the woman who had just become Mrs. Armenta at this lovely Gilroy Micro Wedding.
“Grandma,” Teresa would say when she was little, “some day, I am going to marry Grandpa.” We all chuckled when Grandma shared this story, and tears started to fill Teresa’s eyes. Even though Grandma told her that she wouldn’t be able to do that, Teresa insisted. Her heart was always so full of love.
When we met Teresa & Peter, it was so clear that they were the perfect fit for each other and for us. Their Gilroy micro wedding took some twists and turns. And after having to find a new venue for the THIRD time (one for coronavirus and two for the California wildfires), these high school sweethearts were determined to finally be husband and wife after more than a decade together. Peter told the sweetest story in their vows. When they were in high school, Teresa would intentionally come to school without a sweatshirt so that Peter would be compelled to share his with her. “I don’t think your then-boyfriend and my then-girlfriend would have liked that all that much,” he laughed.
The couple’s Bay Area wedding planner, Sushie Tran, worked to make sure that nothing would stop this beautiful Bay Area wedding from going off without a hitch. Teresa & Peter’s backyard intimate wedding was just absolutely stunning, and we loved every little detail. From the sparkle in the wedding florals to the sparkly Kate Spade Keds to the AH-MAZING custom veil from Something Ivy Boutique, Teresa was a show stopper. Both of us shed tears when she walked down the aisle to her husband.
Teresa & Peter: there really is nothing we wouldn’t do for you two. It feels like we’ve been best friend all this time, and to be present at such a beautiful and intimate gathering with your closest loved ones was an honor. Truly. We are praying for your marriage, for your growing family, and your beautiful son. Thank you for including us and trusting us to capture your big day!
Love,
A&M
Teresa & Peter’s backyard Gilroy micro wedding wouldn’t be complete without the dream team. Wedding planner, coordinator, rentals and florals with Sushie Tran was an absolute delight. And working alongside cinematographers at Tim Jeghers Films was so fun! Teresa’s Allure Bridals gown blew us away, and she found the perfect gown at Weddings and Dreams. The bridesmaids, junior bridesmaids and flower girls all looked stunning in their styles from Morilee, Bill Levkoff and JJ’s House. Some of which were found at Trudy’s Brides.
Peter chose the perfect rings from Zales, and Teresa rocked the cutest sparkly Kate Spade x Keds. Not to mention her beautiful cathedral veil from Something Ivy Boutique. Teresa’s superhero team of hair and makeup artists from KK Visage Beauty were an absolute joy to work with not only on her wedding day, but also for their San Francisco Engagement Session! And her custom hair color was designed by Color by Dani Yanez.
Let’s talk about food. Our favorite part of the day. An incredible spread created and served by Caterman Catering was one of our highlights! Some of the best wedding food we’ve ever had. And this wedding cake by Brianna Loera!? YES PLEASE. And Teresa’s beautiful cake topper was designed by Blushwood Co.
