2 hours. Actually, 3 hours. That’s how far Jon drove to meet this girl. After mistakenly thinking Roseville was halfway between Gilroy and Lodi, Jon committed to his plan. As a result, it eventually led to this winter engagement session in Lodi, California.

Fast forward to Christmas last year when Jon planned the best surprise of Hilary’s life. After gathering their closest friends and family at his future in-laws’ winery, he set the scene. After that, he got down on one knee in front of her people and she said yes at her nighttime proposal!

These two met the new usual way, so thanks to the dating app, Hinge, Jon & Hilary connected and spent their first hours together at Top Golf in Roseville. We got to know their story during their winter engagement session in Lodi, and now we can’t wait to photograph their Lodi vineyard wedding this summer! Her family’s vineyard is beautiful, and they’re transforming it for their wedding so fingers crossed we’ll get to photograph Lodi weddings and Sacramento weddings more often!

We also got to tour all their favorite spots in the area including a double date to Top Golf and a spontaneous shopping trip to Nordstrom Rack where we discovered Angela’s dream pink coat (you may know what we’re talking about). One of our favorite (of many) perks of being an Angela Sue Couple? Lifetime double dates!

LODI ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Jon & Hilary’s wintery Lodi engagement session was so fun! We wandered through downtown Lodi and in town in Hilary’s neighborhood for their winter Lodi Engagement Session and found the perfect locations for engagement photos. Hilary wore two gorgeous dresses from Nordstrom Rack (she scored both for less than $50!) and Jon was dapper in his gentleman’s attire.
