Twinkly lights beneath a canopy of majestic redwood trees. Acres of homegrown chardonnay and noir grapes overlooking the Santa Cruz mountains. A couple whose love has waited 10 years for this day. Everything was breathtaking.

Moments before the ceremony, we waited with Stefanie outside the gate to the Grove where she would soon be escorted down the aisle to her soon-to-be husband by her father who raised two girls all on his own since they were little. This moment was planned for months—the father of the bride would get to see Stefanie just the two of them before he gave her away. Stefanie stood still, taking deep breaths and trying to hold back tears knowing that the first man she ever loved was just on the other side of the gate.

Stefanie’s father opened the gate. He seemed to take a breath and then freeze. Like his breath had literally been taken away. Less than seconds later, his brow furrowed. Tears slowly slipped from his eyes. His fist came to his mouth as if to hold back a cry. He had to turn away to collect his thoughts before taking steps towards his beautiful daughter. He wrapped his arms around Stefanie, whispered something to her, and swayed with her for just a moment before they prepared themselves for the ceremony.

From the very beginning, it was so obvious Stefanie and Jeremy were a match made in heaven. Starting with our coffee date at my favorite place in Morgan Hill (um, that would be Coffee Guys, thank you very much) and down to their romantic San Jose Municipal Garden engagement session, these two were goofballs, super sweet and totally in love. Seriously, if you haven’t seen Stefanie and Jeremy’s engagement session, YOU. ARE. MISSING. OUT. These two are my kind of people. And after ten years of life together, it was finally time to make it official and make change Stefanie’s last name to Lara at their Fernwood Cellars Gilroy vineyard wedding.

Stefanie and Jeremy, I love the two of you. Thank you so very much for letting me be a part of your Fernwood Cellars Gilroy vineyard wedding. Being your wedding photographer was a joy and a privilege and I can’t wait to celebrate anniversaries, babies and more with you as you continue on your walk together. I pray that the two of you would choose each other every day from here on out. Be in love and all in, as I like to say. Fall more in love each day. Love harder each day. Embrace the challenges and rejoice in the joys! You two are so capable, and I know Michael and I have learned so much from you!

Stefanie & Jeremy’s romantic redwood retreat vineyard wedding in Gilroy was hosted by the incredible Fernwood Cellars. The day would never have been as seamless, smooth and fun without the efforts of our good friend Cera Singley Events. She’s the best… seriously. Stefanie’s gorgeous wedding day bridal hair style was designed by Marie from Beauty by Marie, and bridal make up was designed by our incredible friends at L Makeup Studio in Morgan Hill, California. A delicious, family-style wedding spread was prepared and served by the talented friends at Fire4Hire Catering. All those gorgeous chairs, linens and decor were brought in by the professionals at Williams Party Rentals. You guys. The cake. Oh my goodness, have you ever heard of lavender cake? Stefanie & Jeremy had a beautiful spread of pan dulce to celebrate their hispanic heritage, but also had a stunning wedding cake designed and baked by Jen’s Cakes in Willow Glen, California. And it. was. delicious. And you see all those party animals at the wedding reception at Fernwood Cellars? DJ Khosmo from Kolabo Entertainment was by far one of our favorite DJs we’ve ever worked with!
