Married, they are!
Everything had been leading up to this moment. Over a year’s worth of planning. A full black tie affair for the guests. Everyone was ready. Bridesmaids and groomsmen all lined up. Andrew with his arm wrapped around his little girl, Emma. With her daddy’s arm holding her close, Emma had been waiting and waiting for the moment her mom and dad would finally have the same last name. After 12 years and what felt like a million parsecs, Stephanie and Andrew were finally going to be husband and wife.
As Stephanie approached the end of the aisle with her sweet dad, Ed, tears were flowing from Emma’s eyes. Those special kind of tears that come from the absolute love we have for those closest to us… those are the tears Emma was shedding. Andrew did everything he could to hold it together. He looked down at his little girl. He knew this moment was huge for her. After all, Emma insisted he re-propose to Stephanie so that she and her younger brother, Jacob, could be a part of it. He gave her the biggest hug, and turned to take Stephanie into his arms for their vows.
Stephanie & Andrew’s Gilroy Lodge on the Hill Star Wars Day Wedding was on par with the Royal Award Ceremony at The Great Temple on Yavin. Just like Luke and Han did, Andrew got a medal, but his came in the form of a wedding ring. It’s just so obvious that these two are madly in love that it wouldn’t be any surprise if Andrew’s go to response to “I love you” was “I know.”
And the Star Ways Day references don’t stop there. At our second coffee date with the then bride-to-be and her sister, Michael made the sweetest suggestion for a surprise for the groom: a special groom’s cake (made by Steffany McIntyre at Dainty & Sweet all decked out in Star Wars fashion and the phrase, “Married, you are,” in big, tasty fondant letters. Complete with light sabers and a re-entry to the Imperial March, we’d say this Gilroy wedding on Star Wars Day will go down in our books as one of the coolest weddings we’re been a part of!
Stephanie & Andrew: we have loved every second we’ve gotten to spend with you two! Over the last several months we feel like we’ve formed a really great friendship that we very much look forward to growing in time. After all, we still have an impending double date that we can’t wait to go on! You two perfectly exemplify the love and joy that makes a marriage truly special. 12 years, two beautiful children, and a lifetime of memories still to come. We couldn’t be happier for you and your family…..and we wish you all the happiness and joy in the world. We love you guys!
Love,
A&M
Stephanie & Andrew’s black tie Gilroy wedding took place at the beautiful Gilroy Lodge on the Hill in Gilroy, California. The guys got ready at a friend’s house while the ladies dolled up in a beautiful bungalow at Rosewood Cordevalle Country Club in San Martin, California. Not too shabby, if you ask us! All flowers were beautifully designed by the bride’s friend, Gail. Stephanie wore a beautiful rouched mermaid wedding dress from David’s Bridal, stunning rose gold studded heels designed by Badgley Mischka, a mix of heirloom jewelry and pieces from Mecresh Jewelers. Her ring was designed by Diamond Nexus. Her girls wore Hollywood worthy black bridesmaids dresses from David’s Bridal (for the win!).
Andrew looked dapper in his Calvin Klein tuxedo with Kenneth Cole black dress shoes, a stunning slate gray MVMNT watch, and his wedding band from JVL Jewelers. Elizabeth Bozzo did a fabulous job of creating the perfect wedding hair look for Stephanie while Destinee Barnes made sure the bridesmaids, the girls, mother of the bride and aunt of the groom were red carpet ready. The ladies all had their wedding day nails done at Tina’s Nails & Lavender. Gilroy Lodge on the Hill has one of the best in-house caterers around—Dave Bozzo prepared a delicious spread for the guests to enjoy at their black and gold table settings with black chiavari chairs from Miranda St. John’s Party Rentals. Garlic City Limousine made sure the VIPs of the wedding day arrived at Gilroy Lodge on the Hill safely! A beautiful white and gold wedding cake and amazing Star Wars themed groom’s cake were prepared and delivered by Steffany McIntyre from Dainty & Sweet. And the party would have never been such a blast without Mike Malinao from Clear Sound Productions keeping everyone dancing as the DJ.
