This pretty young lady has been in my life for 3ish years now. I met her when she was a little baby sophomore in college and I was her mod-mom. I remember the first time I got to take pictures of her, I was barely new to photography and had no idea how to compose well, choose good light and perfect the images. And here we are today, both of us… she’s about to graduate (FROM COLLEGE!) and I’ve improved so much!
I had so much fun capturing Sammy. She was down for an adventure—we drove way out of the way to get some of these shots out in the hills outside of Fresno (we were about halfway to Hume Lake). The few times I’ve been up that mountain, I’ve noticed these gorgeous fields of mustard flowers, big trees and random stone ruins. I thought to myself every time… I want to take a client out here. And Sammy was down!
